Skiing and Snowboarding in Australia
Officially running from June long weekend to October long weekend the Australian snow season runs for around 12 - 16 weeks (weather dependant). Peak snow falls are generally during July & August although spring skiing offers great deals and plenty of late season snow falls. Weekends are the busiest times on the resorts, Midweek snow packages offer great value and you won't wait as long in queues for the lifts.
If you after a great snow conditions and bargain prices then why not try Thredbo Super Saver Weeks. Between the weeks of the 18th - 22nd July, 25th - 29th July and 22rd - 26th August you can save up to 15% off lift ticket and accommodation packages. Look out for super saver packages during these dates as you could be skiing or snowboarding from under $79 per day per adult
First Timer Skiers & Snowboarders
For first timers AAR recommends June or September Kids Ski Free value deals for families who would like to introduce kids to the snow. Participating accommodation providers will often advertise free accommodation for children during low season for 3 or more night stays. You can then team with Thredbo Kids Ski Free tickets and free ski hire. In order to be valid for free kids you must have a minimum 2 full paying adults and then one child per adult will receive the same ticket or ski hire as the full paying adult.
